Cerebral palsy (CP) in children is a neurological disorder caused due to damage to those parts of the brain controlling motor skills. It cannot be completely cured. However, through specialized care and training children with CP may develop skills required to lead a normal life.
Intelligence determines the physical progress that is required in a child with CP. Intelligence may be determined in a child accurately with CP as young as 18 months of age. Facilities for emotional guidance must be available in schools of such children and for parents too. Lest, some children may not be able to achieve the expected physical and mental progress.
